The Boston college tour started their day with breakfast, a ride on the T, and a tour at Boston University. Another urban setting, BU offers a little more flexibility for students to plan their four-year experience. While on campus, we got to catch up with Dawson alum Julie Bozzay, who lives a good life here! After lunch, we continued our journey to Boston College and had an excellent tour of their beautiful campus on the edge of Boston. There, we caught up with Dawson alum Finn Carpenter for some ice cream and also had a visit with a family friend of JoJo’s.
We took the T back into the back bay and enjoyed a few hours of bowling, pizza, and other games at Kings Entertainment Center. Joining us there was another Dawson alum, Ava McCullick, who mixed well with the kids and offered some advice about her experiences, applying to, studying, and living at Northeastern and in Boston. She did report that there are challenges in college, and her professors are undoubtedly different than her teachers at Dawson School. Walking back through town was again beautiful and enjoyable, and the kids are in their rooms for the night, ready for an early start in the morning out to the Fenway neighborhood. We’re a little sore, but we’re still really enjoying the shared experience of these varied and fascinating college environments.
