Maui

Aloha, families and friends!

 

Day 5 started at the Ocean Center of Maui, where we learned about the marine life on the island. Students were able to enjoy a 15-minute immersive IMAX humpback whale movie while we were there. At the end of the tour, the Ocean Center gave us materials to help clean some of the beachfront on the island. After, we had lunch in the small town of Makawao. We then traveled to a beach spot just outside Lahaina and filled our buckets (literally) with trash we found at the site. Today, we will spend our whole day working with Habitat for Humanity.
